DODECYLPHENOL
Dodecylphenol is manufactured by the alkylation of phenol with the propylene tetramer (dodecene) in the presence of ion exchange resin as catalyst. The product is then distilled out of the reaction mixture under vacuum.
Dodecylphenol is a dense, viscous, light yellow liquid with the characteristic smell. It is the mixture of isomers containing mainly p-dodecylphenol. Dodecylphenol is insoluble in water and readily soluble in aliphatic alcohols, ketones, esters and aromatic hydrocarbons.

Dodecylphenol is used for the production of upgrading additives for combustion engine fuels and lubricant oils. We supply Dodecylphenol in the rail or road tank cars, preferably made of stainless steel and equipped with the heating coils.
